Day 3 (7th July) - Pamplona Bull Run Opening Ceremony

Day 3 was the day for city tour and the opening ceremony for San Fermin!

By 945a.m., we had to get ready and gathered at the lobby. The dress code is white shirt and white pants with red scarf/belt. Muahahahaha.... The favourite colors of the ngau ngau jais.

nY & Kim ( one of the tour guides)

Mum and I @ hotel lobby

Cute mummy @ the hotel lobby

The trip was mainly by foot. We must walk for 30 minutes to reach City Hall Pamplona because vehicles cannot enter the area. Kesian my mummy!

Diane, nY & Ashley (tour guide from US). All of us were in red and white only.

'The Rock' brothers

Diane ( Do you believe that actually she is 36 this year???!!!) & nY beside the ngai ngau statue

It was a chaos! The Spanish and the foreigners were MAD. Mummy was shocked when we arrived at the center of the city hall. Why? We saw policemen carried the bleeding victims to the Ambulans. And hor.. the victims were still LOL! Key siao dah! They threw the wine bottles to the crowd. So, the LUCKY ones who 'kena' the broken bottle will SEE RED lo...

I like his hair!

The opening ceremony was officiated by the of Mayor of Pamplona. She is a lady. :D All the 'participants' had to fold their red scarf into triangle and SHOW it to the crowd~! At that moment, you can see many many red undies in the sky! They need to show their undies again at the last day of the festival (14th July) during the closing ceremony.

Undies! Undies! Yeah yeah ! San Fermin! Ole Ole Ole Ole... Ole...

The Bull Ring ( the street which the ngau ngau runs every morning at sharp 8a.m.). The crowd was singing and dancing along the ring after the encierro.

She is Spanish star! Live broadcast right opposite our balcony @ Ludus Apartment

nY @ Ludus Balcony

Nah! Another 'high high dei' mia Spanish! Happy being molested by the crowd...

Here comes the CHICKY GANG!

Chicky drank Sangria

Music band

Splashing water to the crowd is one of the must-do activities during San Fermin! Ngek! I also splashed a lot~! I'm lovin' it

The purple ones were those who were splashed by Sangria ( Spanish wine with added sugar and lemon). Sexy ladY...

The opening ceremony was fun! It was just like the new year celebration in our country! It is definitely a good place to release your tension. You are allowed to push people and splash water/ wine or even throw the wine bottle at the crowd! They cannot scold you one!

There was another interesting activity in this festival which is called the 'Trust Fall'. Trust means believe right? The key siao Spanish lang will climb up the building to 4 or 5 storey like SPIDERMAN or maybe CICAKMAN. Then, he/she will tell the crowd to 'catch' him at the ground. He/She will jump without any fear. On the first day of the festival, one of the daredevils died because the crowd couldn't catch him. Mati begitu saja... GILA!

nY will blog more about the Welcome Dinner @ the city town. Stay tune!
