Morning Call from Prof. Chuah, dean of FOE!!!

Time flies. In a blinking eye, one year already passed since nY graduated from Money Making University (MMU). On the same day in year 2007, which was August the 13, was the turn of my junior jaiz to have their convocation.

As one of the 'industrious' staff of FOE MMU, Prof. Chuah (dean of FOE MMU) FORCED assigned me to distribute flowers to all the postgraduates students who would be graduating on that day and become a parent usherer on the following daY. X( So, nY had to say bye bye to my lovely weekend already!

What to do? Give face to dean lo... ( Actually is becoz of the BONUS ;;)) Dean 'demanded' me to be at his office latest by 645am to collect the flowers and be prepared to distribute it to the postgraduates. In order to prevent from being late for the mission, nY already started my car engine early 550 in the morning. While I was half sleepin' and half driving, my HP rang. Guess who? From 013-XXXXXXX

The conversation was something like this...

Caller : Hi, Yip. Wo shi prof chuah ah... This is Prof. Chuah ahh... Where are you now?

nY : *Wake up from dreams* :O Oh yaya... I'm on my way now.

Caller: I put all the flowers on the trolley and park it in front of my office. Later you come and collect the roses and bring it to fit ground floor. There are 195 stalks of roses. So make sure you distribute it to all the postgraduates including PHD and MBA students.

nY : Oh ok.

Caller: Thank you, Yip. I'm going to the grand hall now. Bye.

nY : Bye

nY was shocked and faster stepped on the oil pedal. (Thinking to fly there since Prof. Chuah already called)

By the time I reached his office, the trolley was GONE! Shit shit!

nY was like an ant on the hot soup. Looking up and down around FOE and MMU compound but still couldn’t find. MMU was like “People mountain people sea”… makes me more panic and toughen my search.

The only thing nY could do is to find dean at grand hall. He asked me to find again because he passed the flowers to an Indian student. Lucky me… at last, nY saw 'him' on the way to the entrance of grand hall.

There were many smart postgraduates around. The ladies were happy getting the roses but majority of the ‘gentlemen’ rejected the flowers. Some even thought that I’m the flowers sales girl. KNS! The not-sporting-male-postgraduates would only accept it when I ‘used’ Prof. Chuah name! NG SIK FO la… I sacrificed my sleeping time just to distribute flowers to them but they didn’t appreciated it! Some even worst! When I said it was FOC, they ‘rebut-rebut’ to choose the colors.

Phone rang again... It's from Prof.Chuah too.. Haha... He was very concerned about the flowers! See! How enthusiasms he is to his students!

My mission was completed at 9am. There are still left with more than 80 stalks of roses in the boxes. How I settled it? Another 2 students and I chose one stalk of rose from each of the colors and brought it home! Ha ha… as reward of the mission. Ngek!

This is how I spent my precious Saturday in MMU for the 1st day convocation. The mission was followed by 8 hours CCNA classes and a friend birthday celebration at Kepong till midnight! Then, nY has to wake up at 5am the following day because must reach MMU grand hall by 645am for the ushering... Pity me! nY can transform to panda bear bear very very soon...
