Treasure Hunt with Pos Malaysia
nY never likes to join treasure hunt. I’m not lucky one, always reaches the treasure later than others.
However, god GRANTED me a chance to experience it ALONE last Friday with Pos Malaysia.
Weird? Never heard any treasure hunt organized by Pos Malaysia?
The conditions of the treasure hunt is
- You have to do it all by yourself
- You can only request your friend to make a call for you to get the hint
- You have TO ACT FAST
- You have TO BE VERY PATIENT
This is how the incident goes…. that make nY key Siao
nY had to post a VVVIP and SUPER URGENT document to my ex-managers @ Penang. nY clever. *blink blink* nY sent the package using Pos Laju which is next day delivery guarantee instead of following the regular delivery schedule! The process to
Since it was almost weekend and there wouldn’t be any one in Cyberia to receive the parcel, so nY requested Loke in
DAY 1
nY waited and waited. Already Tuesday but the letter not MARI yet! nY was like the ants on a hot soup, couldn’t sleep, couldn’t eat, couldn’t concentrate on research. The challenges had finally come. HOW TO TRACK THE LETTER?
Luckily Loke told me that his mummy registered the mail and we were able to track it using the reference number. BUT THE BAD THING WAS SHE LOST THE RECEIPT!!!
The first challenge of the hunt was to get the reference number. Loke helped me to get the hints through branch in
Then nY tried to track it using internet and found that it was disposed to Bangi Pos Malaysia on the following Monday.
The next challenge was to get the pos line. *Tada* It is 1300-300-300-300. It could be easily found in the internet. After dialing so many zeros and threes, finally a procrastinated AHSUM picked the call.
nY told her the problem and she said she will call me back SHORTLY to confirm about the status of the parcel. Okay. nY waited till sky become dark, stars also come out but still no news.
DAY 2
I called back the same number the next day. They told the same thing! CALL ME BACK SHORTLY! HOW SHORT? One month… One year… Ten years?!!!!
As nY knew the letter was in Bangi, I searched everywhere for the contact of Bangi Pos office. I got it. The person in charge told me they received the letter on Monday and postmen were going to deliver it on that day.
nY waited again! The sky become dark, stars come out again! I called Pos Line and the night shift guy told that postmen balik OIKOIKCHU dah. He asked me to wait one more day.
DAY 3
The due date was almost there. nY couldn’t wait anymore so I called Bangi Pos office again. An old lady picked the call.
************************************************************************************
Old lady: Alo. Petang...
nY: Is this Bangi Pos office?
Old lady: Apa? Apa? Hujan lebat! Server down! Tak bole dengar!
nY:
Old lady: Tak dengar!
After yelling few more times, she able to hear what nY said.
Old lady:
nY: RD 192680178MY ( speak in English)
Old Lady: Apa? Cakap dalam BM lah! Saya tak faham ENGLISH!
nY: RD satu- sembilan….
Old Lady: Nama apa?
nY: Ms. Yip…
Old lady: Apa?
After yelling few times, she still couldn’t hear.
**************************************************************************
nY HEART ATTACK and hung up the call.
nY BEH SONG! Call Pos Line and complaint. The night shift guy said will send the case to Resolution department and will CALL ME BACK SHORTLY. I wondered whether their slogan is “CALL YOU BACK SHORTLY”!
DAY 4
nY already become insane because of the "GOOD" services provided by Pos Malaysia staff.
nY called the Bangi pos office and Pos Line again to SCOLD. Finally they ENTERTAIN ME; they promised they will send postman to deliver to my door step.
However, in the afternoon the Pos Line customer service called nY and asked nY to collect the letter myself at Bangi office BEFORE 430p.m. because they are not going to send it that week.
That time already 230p.m. nY didn’t know the way to Bangi at all! No matter how, nY also needed to DIE back the letter! nY started the car engine and explored to Bangi. nY was lost all the way there! Fortunately with the help of Larry, I able to reach the Bangi pos office at sharp
nY ‘s heart was broken and tears almost come out. nY quickly seek help from the policeman and thank god… He drew all the directions for me.
There were more than 3 DEPO Mail and DATA POS in that area. nY went in one by one and finally I found IT!
All the staff was busy arranging the letters and no ones entertained nY at all. I’m really upset! I went into the working area which contains mountains of letters and parcels to grab attention. People come and scolded. Haha…XD Then when I met the person that called me to pick the letter, he told nY that postmen already taken it!
WTH!!! I sat there helplessly! Heart broken! I asked for the postmen’ hp so that nY could meet him somewhere else. TAU APA DIA CAKAP?!!!!
Postman: Kak, saya tengah makan kat Street Mall! Lu datang ambik sendiri.
nY: PENGSAN ('^')!!!
Want to know the ENDING?
My little brother who was still doing his revision @ Cyberia waited him till 730p.m. and yet he wanted my bro to pick the letter at guard house himself.
AIH… I’m such a loser in the treasure hunt! I’m later than the BAD postmen. POS
